Elton Farm Giant Maize Mazes. Each year we make 3 new Mazes and in 2009 our theme is SUPER HEROS & VILLAINS.

We are located in Gloucestershire near the M4, M48, M50 and A48

Inside a Maize Maze at Elton Farm a great visitor attraction in the Forest of Dean between the A48 and Cinderford.

The Elton Farm Maize Mazes, located between Newnham upon Severn and Westbury upon Severn are now a top Forest of Dean visitor attraction. The photo above shows what it's like to be inside the maze.

2009 Theme: Super Heroes & Villains

Events planned for 2009

Sunday August 2nd

Chilled Wine, Cheese & Music.

Saturday & Sunday August 8th & 9th.

Health & Fitness Weekend. Hire a Pedometer / Pulse Monitor and use the Health & Fitness Boards in the Mazes to gauge your level of fitness and to encourage you to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Sunday August 16th.

Its a Dogs Day. The normal restriction on allowing dogs in the mazes is lifted and dog owners can take their dogs around the Mazes with them. Also a Dog Agility Demonstration from the K9 Display Team and a Fun Dog Show.

Saturday & Sunday August 22nd and 23rd

The Forest of Dean Sunflower & Sweet Corn Festival.

Artist's Entry Form

Large flora displays of Sunflowers with Artists painting them.
(Artists will start painting on Saturday 22 August). Sweet Corn eating competition, Pick & make your own Pop Corn, Craft, plant & produce stalls, Live Country & Western Music, Sunflower competition (tallest, biggest head, smallest head, most multi stemmed etc, in conjunction with local Primary Schools), BBQ or Hog Roast, Tractor & Trailer Rides, Sweet Corn cooking Demos, Courtyard Games & assault course, plus the 3 Mazes will be open to the public.


Friday September 4th

Late Night Special - Do the Mazes by Torchlight. - Live Bands, BBQ, Candlelit Courtyard.

Superheroes of the Mazes

The 2009 Maize has been planted and the Mazes will be closed until the new Maize Maze is ready in July.

Opening Date : July 18th 2009.

Open every day 18 July - 6 Sept 2009

10.30 am - 6 pm

The Mazes contain painted boards, hidden objects and a trivia quiz. Covering 4 ha. the large, medium and small Mazes provide an unusual and entertaining challenge for all ages. The Maze Courtyard has a Picnic and Games Area, a Junior Assault Course, a Cabin offering drinks and snacks and a marquee. Suitable for all ages and push chairs.
